Thanks Tom. I'm out for a few days but I will look at this. I just want to
get one version - no desire to run multiples and I thought I was choosing
the stable version (at least the download said it was the stable version).
However, if I can't get this working soon, I'll have to punt and go back to
OO - I'm pretty dependent on that filter working.
I looked at some of the sample filters and they seemed to be set for XSLT
version 1, while my script is version 2. That may have some bearing on the
problem. Just wish I could see what it's complaining about.
Thanks again.

Hi :)
Ahah, OpenOffice and LibreOffice sometimes clash, just as it is difficult
to get
multiple versions of LibreOffice installed. This guide might help but it's
really only aimed at getting multiple versions of LO installed alongside
each
other and might take a bit of imaginative work to apply it to getting OOo
working alongside LO

The 3.3.x branch and the 3.4.x branch are being developed alongside each
other.
Generally it seems the 3.3.x branch is the stable version with slightly
longer-term support than the 3.4.x branch. However the 3.4.x branch has
some
more advanced features and seems to be more compatible with the newer MS
Office
formats, docX and xlsX. It seems that quite a few people have installed
both to
get the best of both. The latest release is the 3.3.4 but the 3.4.2
probably
still has a few more extra features that weren't included. It might seem a
bit
mad but many OpenSource projects have 1 stable branch and 1 development
branch.
Regards from
Tom :)

Subject: [libreoffice-users] Re: How can I debug XML filter in LibreOffice
Calc?
Thanks Gentlemen,
I was using java 1.6.0_26. So I installed 1.6.0_21 and modified the calc
java options to use that runtime. Didn't help.
But, on checking my installed apps, I noticed I had an OpenOffice SDK
installed (don't remember why I installed that). So I found and installed
the LibreOffice SDK 3.4.2. Since the version is 3.4.2, I also upgraded to
the 3.4.2 versions of libreoffice and the help. Still to no avail.
I'll try to post a bug-report as you suggest.
