HI :) I agree with the assessment of "not a blocker" as i can write letters and short documents quite happily without needing footnotes at all. I don't even see it as critical tbh. There does seem to have been a lot of work done on it just a few weeks ago. Perhaps the devs list needs a nudge to see how it's going? Can you add a comment to the bug-report to give it a bump? Anything useful to add that would be a good excuse for bumping it? Regards from Tom :) ________________________________ From: kitchin <kitchin@lapage.com> To: users@global.libreoffice.org Sent: Mon, 15 August, 2011 13:23:47 Subject: [libreoffice-users] Always starts in Recovery mode when footnotes, endnotes Any word on when bug https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=39510 will be fixed? Writer in 3.4.2 is very tough to use with footnotes or endnotes. Closing any document crashes! The crash and recovery can be ignored, as an annoyance, if editing a single document, but if you have multiple documents open you never know if you have made all your saves. The crash is silent but leaves behind lock files. Hard to believe this bug was changed from a blocker to critical, just because it had existed in 3.4.0. Many users were still on the 3.3.x train. A word processor must be able to handle footnotes. -- View this message in context: http://nabble.documentfoundation.org/Always-starts-in-Recovery-mode-when-footnotes-endnotes-tp3255590p3255590.html Sent from the Users mailing list archive at Nabble.com. -- For unsubscribe instructions e-mail to: users+help@global.libreoffice.org Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/users/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted -- For unsubscribe instructions e-mail to: users+help@global.libreoffice.org Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/users/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted
