A-ha... I am finally sorted...   thanks Larry...

I did look under the preferences but couldn't see anything but with further
investigation and poking around I found it! :-)

Here is the path for others in case they have the same problem...

LibreOffice - Preferences - LibreOffice - Security - Macro Security (then
adjust to what level you want).

Thanks for everyone's  prompt responses...
