Actually for a few days now (since the 19th) You can get an installer (for Windows and Mac currently) for the current code on the master (trunk). Browse here http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/ This includes the fix that allows to install a dev version simultaneously with a stable build. WARNING: this is available for en_US only.
