I maintain a large-ish problem in LibreOffice 3.3.1 [and previous
versions, and OpenOffice before that].

I have consistent issues with frame positioning. I insert a frame,
typically anchored to the paragraph, and check the follow-text-flow
option. But frames can frequently overlap each other and also overlap
footnotes at the bottom of the page. Is there any trick to getting
better frame positioning?

Typically I use frames to insert examples, code snippets, etc... Is
there a better way to do this than frames? Generally I like how frames
look, that they are named resources, support captions, etc... But using
them is really frustrating due to the positioning ssue.
