I think mailmerge is pretty much screwed up at the moment and has been
for a while, but the circumstances vary. There have been various bug
reports about not being able to merge from CSV, Excel, other data
sources, outputting only as a single file, printing, merging/sending as
e-mail, being unable to attach SQL queries, you name it, virtually every
step has something that didn't work for someone somewhere. Given the
very large number of other bugs that need to be fixed and are deemed
more important, i.e. like being able to open various file formats
without LibO crashing, the priority given to mailmerge issues has
dropped somewhat. As far as I'm concerned, mailmerge on LibO at the
moment is virtually unusable, but that is just my humble opinion.
