Hi :)
People keep saying the beta is 3.4 but the files show 3.3.4 or 3_3.4.
Presumably people are just using a short-hand that ignores the 1st 3_ ? Which
seems sensible but i get confused thinking there is a different beta for a major
mile-stone release.
Regards from
Tom :)

I upgraded today from the repository for Debian/Ubuntu (on Kubutu 10.04)
and now my LibreOffice will not start.
Here's the main package version info:
libreoffice3_3.4.0-103_i386.deb
Unfortunately, this is a known issue with the packaging of 3.4 beta 1.
Other than deleting (purge) everything and re-installing 3.3.2 whilst
waiting til the beta can be fixed, I can't think of anything else offhand.
