There should be a "Getting Started with Base" document available in the
documentation section, as someone else has pointed out.
Failing that, you can look at stuff that has been published for
OpenOffice.org, at the moment, these are almost 100%, if not totally
100%, applicable to using the Base component in LibreOffice :
