To the Joachim (whose response that I see in the Nabble version of this that I don't see on the nntp version).

Yes there are two options "recover" and "abort".

What there should also be is a selection for each item that is "don't try this ever again as I know you can't recover this". It's an unrecoverable situation (been through letting it try to recover) and I should be able to select a way out permanently.

I've been putting up with it asking on each start while I looked for previous answers to the question regarding getting it to stop asking by tweaking a file or setting.
