Hi Tony,

What makes the issues with Base 3.3 worse is that there is no
consistency in the bugs, as you will see by reading my posts to the
above bug report. NONE of these issues occurred in OO 3.2. This
unfortunately reflects really badly on the Open Source community
altogether, surely cannot the coding for Base be regressed to how it was
in 3.2, until the changes that were attempted in 3.3 can be more
thoroughly tested.

Well I am staying with OOo 3.2.1 until things get better (if they ever
do). Working with Base as it "evolves" (and I use that word lightly) is
like running a marathon and hitting "the wall" at every version change...

I've given LO a couple of goes over the last few weeks and I just find the Base component is unusable.

Forms that worked flawlessly on OO for several years suddenly don't work. One thing that I noticed is that for some reason LO resets to the original defaults randomly between uses-- fonts, macro security, background colours etc.

The problem with this is the frustration of having to go back to the "Options" menu and put things back to the way that works for me, and then having to re-register databases.

I've switched between LO and OO about 4 times hoping that I could get LO to work consistently, but it doesn't.

Unfortunately I've had to revert to Open Office for now.
