Good plan. The question is a little too advanced for the users list but should
be easy for developers, hopefully!

Tom :)

Forgive me if this question has already been asked, but I didnt't find
an answer after a quick search in the archives of this list.

How does one install LibreOffice from the source tarballs ? Are there
some instructions somewhere ?

I'm a little confused by the number of files to download. Wouldn't it
be simpler to just provide one giant archive, like it is done for the
different binary platforms ?

Perhaps these will help:
http://www.documentfoundation.org/develop/
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Development/How_to_build

These instructions are for git but they seem to be a bit more relevant,
thanks.

I'll go ask the rest of the details in the developers list; they should
know how to build this release....
