Hi Andrés:

Hi, all you people.

I want to know something. I think that the chapter numeration in OOo is
fine, but there is some things that I can't do.

For example an chapter numeration like:

1.- Tittle
1.1.- Subtitle
1.2.- Another Subtitle
2.- Another Thing
2.1.- Another Subthing
Appendix 1.- Something
Appendix 2.- Something More

Not sure if I understand your needs correctly, but the only things I can see that are not standard
in numbering systems are:

1. You want a dash (hyphen) after the number, thus: 1.- 1.1.- etc.
2. You want all the numbers left aligned with no indent.
3. You want the Appendices to have the word Appendix 1.- (or Annex 1.-) instead of just numbers.

It seems to me that all three of these are possible in LibO, but not all of them if you click on
the numbering button on the toolbar.

Under Format on the menu (I don't know what that will be in Spanish) you will find Bullets and
Numbering.

Hop over the Bullets tab and choose your format on the Numbering Type tab (on the English version
it would be the second on the top row).

I don't know whether you need to do anything on the Outline tab, but I don't think so.

Hop over the Graphics tab and on the Position tab select the "Aligned at" and "Indent at" values to
zero.

On the Options tab in the After field you will see a period "." Replace this with period and
hyphen ".-".

These steps will solve points 1 and 2 above.

In order to get the word "Appendix" or "Annex" in front, you will have to start a new section of
your document after the last chapter. In the new section you will have to go through the above
process again, and on the Options tab you will additionally have to add either Appendix or Annex in
the Before field.

Hope this helps. If I've got it wrong, either someone else will correct me, or you'll have to come
back and tell us what happened, and which bit didn't work. In that event, it would be good to know
what operating system you use and which version of LibO.

sorry, I'm from Chile, and I don't speak english.

Don't worry, There's nothing wrong with your English.
