Your printer has likely unprintable margins. Have a look into your printer manual, whether you can turn it off. My printer needs at least 5mm on each edge.

the file's margins that are in the file needs to be removed by the printer? If that was the case, you should have removed them from the document instead. The file shows margins, so you will should use them.


The black of the front panel does not print "well" on the 3 inkjet
printers I own. It is too much ink and soaks into the paper stock and
wrinkles it.

I would not try to print it with an inkjet printer. You would need high quality paper of 90g/m². Such full colored brochure needs offset printer.


SO, you require the people who have been doing the "grass root" marketing to spend large amounts of their own money to pay for the expensive offset printing for these brochures. I have printed 100's of the old one from my printers for 5 cents on the dollar for the cost of offset printing of the same number of brochures. I cannot afford that.



Maybe, it would look good printed on a professional paste ink printing
system, but not any inkjet I own.  I have HP, Epson, and Canon brands.

So, please let me know what home/office equipment prints this brochure.

Even a laser printer, HP, printing at the highest resolution does not
look good for that black background panel.

You will never get homogeneous full color on large areas from low-cost laser printers.


What is low-cost to you?  $300?   $500?   $1000?

The local marketing people cannot afford the cost to buy the high end printers in the high end printing companies.

We are not made of money to afford this type of marketing materials.


I need a brochure that I can print out 20 or 30 copies whenever I run
out or need more.  This one does not work for my home office.

Forget that example. Make your own brochure. The brochure from the link is not suitable for home equipment.

You can get 1000 sheets for about 60€ from professional print shops. Have you considered that? What are your costs for 1 sheet?

If you will print them at home nevertheless, and you do not want a white sheet, you might consider a pale colored paper.

I want to have a brochure or template, or other marketing materials that is "approved" and "branded" that our local people can use. We need to have marketing materials that can be use by local home/office printing systems. We need materials that can be printed at 20 or 30 at a time, or the numbers that are going to be used for the person doing the local marketing.

The type of printed brochures needing offset printing is not going to be as cheep as 60 € for 1000 two sided multi color brochures. Not in any shop that I have in my area, including the differences between € and $.

I print both color and b&w text brochures on several styles and colors of paper, from off-white to pastel greens and any other color that works for the documents/fliers/brochures. I have a very limited budget for marketing, since it comes out of my own pockets on a small disability based income. I no longer have access to even a quarter of my working income. So, I do not have the money to spend on the high cost of offset printing or other expensive printing of marketing materials.

We need marketing materials created by our design and marketing people that can be used my the local people who have little abilities or talents to design their own. We need to have brochures and other documents that can be printed on home/office equipment that is available to the local users to market LibreOffice to the market that cannot afford the expense of high end printing or packages like MSO.

For me, the offset printing requirements for the designed and approved branded marketing materials is like requiring the use of $1,500 DVD printing equipment for making 10 or 20 DVDs, or paying these big companies to make you a large number of units when you only can use a tenth that number.

WE LOCAL and GRASS ROOTS marketing people cannot afford that.

Will someone with deep pockets in Europe or the USA help pay the marketing costs for someone in Africa or India? I do not think so.

The reason I got involved with trying to update the brochure for LibreOffice, was to update it by nearly 2 years. I wanted to have an officially approved and branded brochure and maybe other marketing items that the person could print or somehow buy on a low budget and hand out to their local market, be it college students or at a group of business people who want to be able to spend money on other things than renting MS Office products. We need to have a collection of marketing documents, and "swag" designs that can be printed locally or ordered at an affordable price for people with smaller amounts of money to spend, like most people I know locally.

I must get the best quantity of the needed marketing materials for the low amount of money I have. Sure, I could spend 25 cents per brochure for 4 color offset printing of the lowest unit they will do, or spend the same amount for more cost effected brochures and maybe have a number of good looking "self printed" DVD available as well.

I make 20 to 100 brochures at a time, depending on the what is needed at the time. I burn/print as many DVD as I can afford to hand out, of the current version of LO. I am on my second DVD media printer and 3rd laser printer since I started using LibreOffice since the first official release. After my monthly bills are met, the rest of my limited income goes into food, tech replacement of worn out or broken equipment, and LibreOffice. I need to be able to afford the approved and branded marketing materials needed to promote LibreOffice on that budget.
