Hi Leif

Thanks! I'll see if my wife will do it. She can quote from all of the StarTrek series; BigBang Theory; StarWars; but she can't hum any of the Mario cart songs... doh! Anyway, I think that qualifies her as geeky enough, besides, she married me! :-)

Just a couple of questions regarding the pronunciation of some of the words:

CMIS -- is this spelled alphabetically -- C-M-EYE-S
Nuxeo -- nucksay-oh ?

Hi all,
English version ready on Youtube in a few minutes here:
http://youtu.be/l7NkFlHWmPo

I need someone to do the speak in proper English. A woman is preferred
but most important is that we get a happy clear smiling voice.

Just send me an mp3 or other format with at least four seconds between
each sentence. Alternative is one file per sentence. I can do with both.

Suggestion to the wording is here:

0:08
Here I will demonstrate how LibreOffice can use a document management
system directly by using the CMIS protocol.
We will be using Nuxeo for demonstration but it will work with
Sharepoint and Alfresco as well.
0:20
First we will create a new document
0:28
And we will add some text to the document
0:37
Now we will save the document
0:39
We will select my Nuxeo server that I have prepared
0:41
We need to enter the master password in LibreOffice. Otherwise we would
be asked for user name and password to the Nuxeo server each time
0:52
As you can see the Nuxeo document management system works just like any
other file repository.
1:09
We have prepared a folder on the server for this demonstration
1:11
First we will create a bookmark in LibreOffice to point directly to this
folder
1:27
now we will save the document
1:44
And we will close it
1:46
Lets open it again
1:53
We can use the bookmark that we created before
1:57
The bookmark remembers our server connection and credentials
2:12
The document is opened but not yet checked out from the server. Lets
check it out.
2:19
When you check a document out it will be locked for other users - even
if you close the document again.
2:25
Now lets add some text
2:38
And a table
2:55
We will close the document
3:03
...And save it
3:06
Please note that we didn't check the document in again
3:20
Lets see how this looks in our document management system
3:25
The document indicates by a lock that its checked out by someone
3:21
And when we open it we can also see that its locked
3:46
From LibreOffice we can open the document as any other document
3:58
Lets check the document in again?
4:06
As we check the document in we are asked to leave a comment
4:20
We close the document
4:36
In Nuxeo we can see that comment. Its a comment in the document
management system and not in the document file it self

Cheers,
Leif

Hi Charles,
Sorry I didn't pick this up yesterday.

I haven't heard anything else than his comment on G+.

Actually I will suggest that we make this on our own. A video from his
side will probably be focusing on Nuxeo and not on LibreOffice. If we
make it our selves we can control the message more precise.

I can try to make an English version this weekend but I don't have the
equipment to produce any audio or speak. Another thing is that I'm a
newbee when it comes to video production. If someone native English
speaking with better experience with video tutorials can do it this
would be the best.

What do you think? Is my current (Danish) video sufficient (if I make a
similar English version)?

Cheers,
Leif

Hello Leif, Do you have any news on the English video by
Nuxeo? Otherwise we ought to have one on our own... Thanks,

Hi, Its actually just a brief teaser: 1) Create a document
and save it in Nuxeo 2) View the document in browser 3)
Open and check the document out 4) View the locked
document in browser 5) Check the document in 6) See
history in browser Cheers, Leif 2013/1/21 Immanuel Giulea

Hello all, I contacted two people at Nuxeo two weeks
ago. Will keep you posted about what I learn on the
topic of LibreOffice integration with Nuxeo. Leif:
Would it be possible to outline in English the main
points of your video please? Immanuel On Mon, Jan 21,

Hi Charles, Nothing so far;-) I guess he's just
trying to promote his own project together with
LibreOffice. I don't see any problems with that.
My original video is in Danish and I guess thats
the reason for his comment. I have no other
information than whats on the thread on G+ Cheers,

Hi all, Yesterday evening I posted a
Danish video on Youtube demonstrating
LibreOffice CMIS integration with Nuxeo.
Laurent Doguin from Nuxeo is now offering
to produce some English screen casts too.
See his comment here:

I guess that would be a tremendous thing,
wouldn’t it?

Yes, definitely. What does he require from us?
best, Charles.
