Hello Community,

*Using google translator.

This is not a good option, since it may not give you the correct grammar or translation. I used it to translate the LibreOffice-Box DVD, that is in German, to English, and we are still finding the errors after two months. If you do not speak a second language, like me, you can use the online translation services for a "rough guide" on what the text is saying but not for exact/proper word/grammar translations.

Some months ago I began a discussion about the logo LibreOffice and suggested
the use of a paper airplane:

I wondered why the airplane was created as a marketing tool. I still do not know, but I have ideas on how to use it.

As a result of this suggestion created this proposal for a logo:

Here in Brazil we are creating our DVD and would like to know of the possibility of using this concept in our DVD. Is it just a suggestion to the community, but
I think it a good test of the concept.

I write to know if there are any objections since the initial proposal was to
renewal soon. And as it was used like to test the concept in our DVD.

I do not think we have the airplane on our North American Community DVD [English but has Brazil's installs].
"LibreOffice-NA.US <http://libreoffice-na.us/>"
I am not doing the "in person" Event Marketing for our DVD, since I use a wheelchair and it is hard for me to travel. But I do support the different regional communities to create their own distribution DVD. I am looking to have a CD set for those who have a computer that does not read DVDs. I just bought a 10-pack of 4 disc per case DVD movie case and a 100-pack of a single DVD movie case. I hope to have an All-Platform CD/DVD and a Windows-only version.

So you might want to look at our online version of the DVD as a testing site. "LibreOffice-NA.US <http://libreoffice-na.us/>" It might give you ideas on what another community is doing for its distribution DVD. The Windows-only version pages/files are being uploaded as I type this response, but the All-Platform option is up and running.

The marketing page link is http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Marketing/Americas_LibreOffice_DVD

Waiting in the wings.

I think you would get a better response on the Design mailing list. That is where this type of thing would be discussed and decided.

Andy
