It seems there are unhappy people out there. Have you seen this?

"open letter" sounds as he would have tried to communicate directly
beforehand, at least for the website I don't remember anything like
that. Probably the same for the artwork - commenting from the outside
without being involved..

Regarding his proposed icons: Always much easier to create huge ones
that look nice, but those aren't for real-live use. Unless I see ones
in the range of 20px... And while the globe idea is not bad, he did
choose only to display north america...

"Everything in this presentation was done in a day, therefore a
dedicated team of volunteers should be able to achieve much more than
me."

<yawn/>

But bad press is better than no press (when it's clear that its a
personal view, not presented as "facts")...

ciao
Christian

Well, where is the Draw and Math icons in his set? I did not know their were any separate icons for templates with one for each template file extension or purpose.

And yes, it would have been nice to have this "conversation" from this person in the lists or with the development and design teams. I also agree that images that look nice as a large one may not stand up in the "standard" icon sizes.

I wonder about the "bad press" idea or issue. IF there are people out there reading this article and never heard of LibreOffice, then either they are put off or they are going to have a look at the package to see what the icons and such is all about. I hope those who know LibreOffice will take this as a personal view, not fact, as you stated above.
