As you wish, my lord :D

They can be embeded or not in the movie. We can make srts available and
people can easily translate them to their own languages.

In fact, I wonder if this could evolute to a video channel at Youtube, or
other media website. :D

Well utube.c/libreoffice is available for use, if anyone wants to pursue
that. I reserved the entry back in December. I have bee running it's
cousin:

http://youtube.com/libreofficevols

since. (this is an unofficial site, an official channel makes a lot of
sense to me)

I've already let Florian know that I have the account and would easily
give to anyone that wants to pursue it - there is plenty you can do with
a youtube channel.

Given the work going on in BrOffice with the magazine, it would not
surprise me if some of the folks there might have the best (more
enthusiastic, is maybe a better word there) perspective for putting a
multi-media account to use. Or course I would want English to still be
the default language - LOL - but then again after I transfer the account
what can I say on it. *smiling*..

Anyway; I'm just saying that I agree with the idea of putting one of the
video SAS sites to use for this, that doesn't preclude the use of other
forms of delivery. Youtube, or sites like it, I believe shuold be just
one tool, the internet archive is available, not to mention TDF
servers.

With an 'official' youtube site I would, right of the bat, push folks to
produce webM formatted files, and to consider using internet archive as
a matter of policy as one of the submission location vectors. People can
place the master file at the archive and email the TDF, if you choose to
use it, a copy can be moved to a youtube channel (a folder within?), and
likes WebM, keeping TDF in step with current trends, IMO

Youtube gives you the added mechanisms for auto-notification to
different social networks - getting the word out is one of the
objectives, yes, so this is a big advantage here, IMO.

Anyway - just thinking out loud, it would take someone to focus on the
details during the campaign, and I'm not raising my hand for any long
term commitment, but the resource (as URL) is available for someone to
use.

Thanks

Drew

Hi :)

If the subtitles could be on a different layer or something (perhaps as
.srt's?)
then translators could do any edits more easily. Just a thought. I don't
know
how practical the idea is.
Good luck and regards from
Tom :)

Hi, the our case (brazilians) we can talk in Portuguese and include
subtitles in English. I can't see any problem with that. What do you think?

No nosso caso (brasileiro), podemos falar em Português e incluir legendas
em
Inglês. Não vejo problemas com isso. O que acham?

The video must be in English?

it would be ideal, but if you can target Brazilian audience with
Portuguese
video, go for it :-)
