Marketing does have a broader definition within OpenSource projects but there
are other lists for the 2 topics you marked as -1.

Please refer non-Marketing issues to those lists. For example the 1st point was
about improving the product and that is the job of the developer's list. They
are doing awesome work their. If you can join in there then do as it is
valuable work. Duplicating their work in the Marketing list could cause
problems.

The second point was about strategy and belongs in the discussion group or
possibly "bumped up" to steering group for them to make a ruling.

Regards from
Tom :)

Thank god, we do have a good product (although still to be
improved). I would absolutely oppose praising a bad product!

This list is also NOT the place to start discussing whether or not a larger
market share is a good thing. Our single job in this list is to work at
increasing market share.

Im am astonished because of your narrow-minded definition of
marketing. Marketing is not only meant to increase sales or
distribution numbers. In our case a very important, perhaps the most
important mission for marketing is to recruit contributors.
