I think it is just "easy access to the source code" that is required? I think
the spirit of the agreement would make it more relevant to just let people know
they can download the product for free and give them the LibreOffice site?
LibreOfficeBox, for example, contains the source code as well.

For LibreOffice true, and I would not want to distribute a DVD at a
Linux fest that did not contain that - but for the other FOSS packages
on the LibreOffieBox DVD - Binary only.

Just an fyi;

LibreOffice is released under LGPL v3[1]. Section 4-d-0 indicates that distributors must follow the GPL v3 section 6 guidelines for making source code available[2].

How one makes the source code available is where it gets fuzzy for me. I am hoping someone on this list can put this in layman's language. In short, though, whoever distributes (and however they choose to do so) carries with it non-negotiable responsibilities to give "equivalent access" to the source code. And keep in mind this is version-specific.

Happily, v3 makes it easier to "point to" a source repository as opposed to actually maintaining one but, one should take care that the repository will be around for the requisite period of time.

hope this helps,
-Craig
