Nice! Where did you use it and for what purposes do you think it would
be best used?
Booths at al sorts of events.
(It's first version is from early 2011, this one from a year later.
I did mail about the first version at least.)
Yes, it will make a great addition to our marketing materials!
What happens when you have it on the booth: people only see the
LibreOffice front, so that's a) a bit simple and b) looks as a
sticker (especially when no real stickers are left ;) ).
So that's something I would like to improve.
Cheers,
We can always improve the Flyer / Brochure.
The key is how you print it.
The flyers are in two main categories - Self printed and Professional
printed.
The "official" brochures and flyers need to be printed professionally-
due to their ink usage. The "community" version is able to be printed
on a "normal" home/office printer. Locally, the "official" version
would cost me about 50 cents a piece for 100 or more, while printing
the more simple "community" version costs maybe 5 cents a piece for
the ink and paperprinted on my home/office inkjet printer.
OK
I got my flyer and brochure mixed up. They can be the same thing in my
"regional language".
I looked at the Dutch flyer. I cannot read Dutch but the look is good
to me.
Yes, again, it can be improved in some way so it does not look like a
sticker or other item that it is not meant to be. But, the key is still
the print method. I have seem some real beautiful flyers [flier], and
other handouts, that would not look good printed on a "normal"
home/office inkjet or color laser. Most people, me for certain, do not
have the money to have professional printing done. One sided photo
quality flyers can cost as much as 75 cents or more per sheet for 100 or
more. Standard color "copying" can be 25 cents or more per sheet for
large volume orders, or 75 cents for under 20 sheets.
If you have a good printer and a "office paper cutter", you could print
out you own 2-up flyers easily enough. I have printed the brochures and
the simple z-fold takes only a few seconds per brochure. Same with the
Dutch flyer.
For me, I print off 12 to 50 brochures at a time. For a booth, you
might need 200 to 500 depending on the show/event. Having to fold that
number of sheets can take time, but is it worth it to you to spend the
money for a copy/print place to print the document and fold it [plus cut
it to size if needed]? For some people, who do not have the time, it might.
