Hello,

well, it's indeed been quite a while, and unfortunately, we are still
waiting for the videos. :-(

In the meantime, while moving data away from the old web server, I've
discovered that we are still missing making the pictures public. I once
asked for volunteers, but to no avail, which is why I try again. ;)

So, we have a hand ful of archives with pictures from the conference.
What's required to be done is to

1. check the proper (CC) license of the images
2. check that nobody has been photographed in an ugly situation (dull
smiling face or the like)
3. check that we either have a group picture, or, if individual people
are shown, get their consent for making the picture pubic,
4. unless it's during their talk for which they have given consent already.

Yes, it's a bit tedious, but I recall some (non-LibO) events where
people complained heavily afterwards, so I think we should ensure some
proper handling.

Sooo... any volunteers? ;-)

Florian

I usually find all of my personal photos "ugly in pose", which is what I expect to hear from most people.

Are these the set of photos from FOSDEM 2013 that were passed on to me a short while ago? I had just assumed that permission had been granted and was going to look at including them (except a couple that are probably not suitable) on the FOSDEM wiki page[1] as well as the donate webpage "photo shuffler".

Does one need to be intimately familiar with the "core" individuals at TDF/LibreOffice to do this? In order to help us with this we could also get blanket permissions from active participants for the use of their photos and then offer assurances that compromising photos would not be used ... AND that any request to remove photos would be done as promptly as possible without question.

Actually, we should also have a set of photo guidelines for the marketing team to follow when any group posts photos. The marketing team should be in charge of making sure some kind of guidelines are followed. Most of the guidelines are mostly the same for most countries.

Cheers,

Marc
