BTW ... if some native language groups would like to do the same, the video with music only is here [http://youtu.be/l7NkFlHWmPo]. Another option would be to integrate written text instead of speech.

I agree that we should produce more videos. Promotion videos like this but also tutorials. Try to search for Gimp Tutorial on Youtube. There are hundreds of them. Its a great marketing opportunity. Each new feature that can be visually demonstrated should be promoted like this.

The problem with localization is that the GUI is in English. Its possible to add sub titles or just replace the audio track. But still the GUI will be in English. To replace the speak with written text would be a bad idea. I tried that with a few Danish videos. Having a speaker makes the video something much more personal and the video becomes more interesting.

My idea is to invest some more time in making videos with different set up but in the end of the day I don't think we can produce good videos if we try to do it multi lingual.

About the speak I don't think we have the perfect solution yet. But I guess I will learn from experience ;-)

I will be happy to share my experiences. Never the less, if any body else has experience making video tutorials and promotions I would be happy to get in touch ;-)

Cheers,
Leif
