Hello to all LO Marketeers,
Having signed up to the LO Marketing group some time ago
I followed the various threads with some interest.
First of all a great THANKS to all who helped to develop
and market LO so far.
I'd like to introduce myself formally and
hopefully in the future be able to contribute
to the success of LO here in beautiful NZ.
I'm Fridolin, Austrian by birth and living in NZ.
Am self-employed working as handyman,
meaning, fixing things for people, among other things computers.
Almost all persons who approach me for help with computer
problems
I have been able to make aware of Opensource software
and many of them use either OpenOffice or now LibreOffice.
Here in Tauranga, together with a few other persons
I have been involved in organizing 2 Software Freedom Days.
(2010, 2011)
It is our intention to organize another one next year.
That would be one opportunity to expose LO software
to the public in the Bay of Plenty.
I am interested in getting involved in LO Marketing
here in NZ and to help educate people about Opensource software,
especially LibreOffice. I use it every day, I like it
and I think it worthwhile to get involved and to contribute
some of my time for this product.
I don't know where I can fit in but am sure
that some opportunity will come up . . . .
Once again thanks to all involved for their efforts
and lets work together to promote LO
Greetings,
Fridolin Kathan
