As far as I can see his main claim is that summarizing any statistics is
imprecise. Which obviously is right, since it is a summary, not the raw
data. Also he doesn't seem happy how happy other people are about the
progress LibreOffice and TDF are are making over the last two years.
Maybe he isn't because it compares unfavorably with statistics of a
project he is working on. Or he just would like to have some attention
for himself or a project he is working on and doesn't know any better
way than trying to badmouth a different community/project. Anyway, I
would ignore his rants, since they look like trolling for attention. But
if people do find summarizing statistics in marketing materials don't
show the full picture as he claims then just point them to the all the
data like published in
http://documentfoundation.files.wordpress.com/2012/10/tdf-infographics2years.pdf
so they can make up their own mind on why The Document Foundation thinks
they are making some nice progress.
