The Declaration of Internet Freedom

has sparked a vigorous global discussion about the role of the Internet
in our lives — and how we can keep it free and open. Since its launch
earlier this month, the Declaration has had a significant impact thanks
to the more than 1,500 organizations and companies — including yours
— that have signed on.

*Now it's on to phase two: The Summer of Internet Freedom.*

This August we’re asking Declaration signers around the world to host
Internet freedom events — Internet BBQs, you could call them — to engage
with the Declaration’s five principles and have a conversation about
what Internet freedom means for us and our communities. The more that we
show our support for Internet freedom, the closer we’ll get to policies
that protect our right to communicate online.
