Hi :)
I like it. It is an improvement. The one i ilked yday seems a little bit
messier but i didn't really notice that yday. There is a "Turn Left" but no
"Turn Right"? People aren't going to arrive from the other direction?
Regards from
Tom :)

Hi all,
after having had some sleep, I looked again at the hackfest material and
wasn't totally satisfied ... so I updated the information panel a bit:
* improved motif use (very similar to my conference presentation
template proposal, better readability of the actual content +
proper clipping of the graphics)
* improved layer use
* less dominant LibO logo
* exported an "empty" example as EPS which can be printed and
labeled on-site (for those who like their handwriting *g*)
Here is the updated ZIP:

found the other interesting images before clicking on the other links you gave
in your email
Good work

Hi Florian, hi Drew, all!

Hi,
thanks for these designs! (And sorry for not mentioning it on the design
list, mea culpa)
Hehe, CCing the design list to keep them informed ...
What I would love to have is a mixture of Christoph's proposal with the
"spaghetti slogan" and Drew's design with the "code document icon". For
Drew's design, I'd like to have the banner in the back removed.
I also think it would be better to have the document icon plus code
inside, and below that the words "LibreOffice Hackfest Munich 2011".
Maybe someone can design that?
So, I tried, but I failed somehow ... I think the document icon
shouldn't be overused, especially if we want to add the LibreOffice logo
as well. Furthermore, the detailed code makes it highly complex and
hardly usable for small sizes.
Since the hackfest is "mission uncritical", I simply tried some things.
I continued to use the "Motif + Community LibO logo + slight asymmetry +
conference text" design. Instead of detailed code, I picked the
LibreOffice Macro document icon which also shows a gearwheel (hopefully,
it doesn't hurt here).
How does it look like? I added some examples here (click through) ...

Full Logo

Information Panel "Direction, Left"
https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/YisNdJoH4VAfaxprD1xavw?feat=directlink
I packed everything in one file and added it to the Hackfest wiki page -
there you'll find:
* The different logos plus source code
* An A4 information panel that can show text, directions, the
welcome message, the motto ... some items already prepared
(hidden in layers). I hope this is convenient for the guys
preparing the location - could you forward it, Florian?
For the T-Shirts, I recommend to use the "motto" for the front, and the
"full logo" for the back.
The link to the hackfest page (incl. new logo), the ZIP file can be
found at the bottom of the page:

So, I hope it's okay ... and Drew is fine with it as well :-)
Cheers,
Christoph
