Hi :) There are a lot of official LibreOffice websites for different languages/countries. Here is a list ... http://www.libreoffice.org/international-sites/ Apparently there are Maltese communities and individuals living in many other countries, not just in Malta. Notably Australia, Canada, Italy, Uk and the US have fairly large numbers of Maltese people or people who can probably trace their origins back there fairly easily. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maltese_language An official website might help develop The Document Foundation's Maltese Community. Regards from Tom :) ________________________________ From: Warren Camilleri <warren@ossmalta.com> To: marketing@global.libreoffice.org Sent: Sat, 23 July, 2011 21:20:38 Subject: Re: [libreoffice-marketing] voiceovers for LibOCon Hi guys and girls i forgot to mention that i will be working on a sub-site called libreoffice.ossmalta.com where it would be in English and in the Maltese language, i would like to ask i any one has experience on the google app - sites platform? as to optimize it for the local market for promoting the community, and also for my community site ossmalta.com to market LibreOffice and provide some sort of support in the Maltese islands which has a population of around 500,000 according to our last census. should any one have any objections kindly e-mail me, those that would like to help on the project i am more then happy for your assistance, i would like to finish this project by mid 2012 as at late 2012 the smartcity project funded by dubai telecom the same people of dubai internetcity will complete thier project and would bring high rollers like oracle, microsoft, apple, dell, lenovo and more to the country Thanks Warren On Sat, Jul 23, 2011 at 10:13 PM, Warren Camilleri <warren@ossmalta.com>wrote:

So - first the promo video you asked about - the 'Many Voices' video.http://www.youtube.com/user/libreoffice#p/c/3394BC60362F3DF6/0/SI4BjrxNwwANote: I'm still using the youtube LibreOffie Vols channel, but have just recently begun using the LibreOffice channel. (more on that in a different email) I think you wanted the graphic files I used for the backgrounds. You can find the files on the wiki: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Marketing/Wallpapers There is a little trick I do with the document icon, adding the scatter motif and the Libo/TDF logo - but that is all generated within the video editor, blending the different elements at runtime - the source for those elements are also available on the wiki. Though I do have a graphic of that rendering, but it hasn't really been vetted in anyway. OH - the voices, all from google BTW. Then there is the second videohttp://www.youtube.com/user/libreoffice#p/c/3394BC60362F3DF6/0/SI4BjrxNwwAImage wise, again all images are available from the wiki - but I did create special png files for use in the video from SVG sources on the wikim, for the application icons and the paper airplane. This one maybe is better suited for folks to add their own voice to. If that interests you then there are two possible ways to proceed. 1) Simply make a recording of your voice and send it to me and I'll replace my voice with yours. 2) I can send you the mp4 file, minus my voice, but with the music track intact and you can mix your voice overtop. Either way is good with me. Let me know. //drew -- Unsubscribe instructions: E-mail tomarketing+help@global.libreoffice.orgProblems?http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/Posting guidelines + more:http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/NetiquetteList archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/marketing/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot bedeleted -- Unsubscribe instructions: E-mail to marketing+help@global.libreoffice.org Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/marketing/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted-- Warren Camilleri Founding Father Mobile: +356 7991 2004 Skype: ossmalta | Twitter: @ossmalta
