Just a small question (and offer): when will we arrive at a point
where decisions about the logo are made? I read somewhere that you
want to form a group who takes care of the whole branding issue, and
I'd like to be part of that team.
Thanks,
Joey

Dear Libre Office marketing team,
in a blog post from David Nelson I read that Libre Office is looking for
a new logo and marketing material. The moment I told this to my
girlfriend she started Inkscape and produced the first logos that came
to her mind.
Great - please join our design mailing list too and join the team there.
That's probably the best place for contributors with your skills.
We are working on the LibreOffice icons at the moment, because they should
be implemented in the upcoming version 3.3.0
The present logo (it's part of our "Initial Branding" that will be replaced
by a "Community Branding" based on our community's contributions) is fixed
until LibO 3.4 or LibO 3.5, but we start discussing this topic probably
after the release of LibO 3.3.0.
I think they are really applealing especially the last ones showing a
globe of the world embraced by the L and O of Libre Office.
It would be interesting to heare what you think about those first designs.
Please upload them to the wiki where we already collected a number of ideas,
so they won't be forgotten when we start working on the Community Design:

Welcome and best regards
