Dear Eike,
Thank you so much for the helpful response, dankeschön! The default region
is the Netherlands. I haven't done this before, but I used the nl_NL.xml
file as an example to create a file gos_NL.xml, as most of the locale data
is the same as for Dutch. In addition to the language and default region,
I've translated the few mostly date-related items as well. I've attached
the file. Am I supposed to file a bug to request the file to be added? I'm
a bit afraid to bother people with the wrong thing.

default language involves number and date formatting and more.
