Hello Martin!
Thanks for the comments. Some clarifications in the text.

Hi, Olivier,
Thanks for the great work!
Just noticed a few cosmetic things with the UI of online help:
- the title cannot be localized (it keeps saying "LibreOffice 6.0 Help" in
the title bar even after selecting another language);
This can be fixed.
- the search field in the top bar makes one think this is LO help content
search, and not Google search (even if there is Google logo in the search
field, it looks as if it uses Google's search technology to search the LO
help content) - so this prominently positioned field confuses the user; why
would one need Google search in the LO help search? Maybe you could get rid
of the duplicate Search field in the left bar and have only this search
field, as a LO help search field - that could simplify the UI;
The old offline help has a search function to locate a text expression
in all help files. A nice feature I though to emulate with the google
custom search (GCS). It works partially.
- The GCS performs a search in a restricted set of LO domains: askbot,
documentation, www (l10n), wiki, wikihelp.
- At the moment, GCS mostly returns localized wikihelp contents.
- Quality of the results depends on how often Google is able to crawl
the TDF domains and also how often GCS is used.
- The GCS is removed in the new offline help.
- We are open to other solutions...
The left bar search is a completely different story. It emulates the
Index of the old offline help, and is constructed from the
<bookmark_value> tags of the XHP specification that you translated in
Pootle. It is the fastest way to locate a bookmarked keyword within all
help pages.
Unlike the old help, the search is performed in all modules, so for
example, searching "border" will return help pages links for all kind of
borders in Calc, Writer, Impress, etc...
- both the search field content and the tooltips of search field and the
search button in the top bar are unlocalizable ("Custom" and "search");
The field content and tooltip of GCS is localized but bounded to the
languages supported by GCS.
- the footnote/impressum is in English (including the copyright
information)
This text is in English in all TDF managed websites.
- in the footnote/impressum the localization teams, responsible for the
localized version (i.e. there could be a link to the list of all l10n teams
of LO), and the documentation team (there could be a link to the
documentation wiki page or else) are not even mentioned;
Agree. Including donation buttons...
- the footnote/impressum contains links to TDF statutes in English and
German, how is that legally required by the help content? Not even LO in
its About box has those links included ...
I am not a lawyer, but German legal requires this impressum for all
German web services, I was told.
Maybe localized help content can be refreshed from code again for testing
purposes, as the release time is approaching fast ...
Your last translation were committed yesterday, I'll generate a new page
set before tomorrow.
Regards
Olivier
Thanks,
Martin

Hi L10n people!
I have updated the new help online with the latest additions of the help
contents (12/12/2017).
https://helponline.libreoffice.org/6.0/en-US/text/shared/main0108.html
These pages can help translators to understand the context of each help
string in Pootle.
* By looking at the po file and the XHP file indicated in the Pootle
interface, it is possible to edit the help page URL and display it in
the browser.
* you may also inspect the current status of your translation based on
the last snapshot of Pootle contents inserted into the builds.
Any feedback is welcome.
Kind regards
