This bug is about no being able to install a langpack on OSX at all and if
confirmed it should be a stopper for 5.2.

I think it's a known issue. I never used OS X, but I think you need to run
LO at least once before installing additional language pack.
This should work as a workaround.
Think I saw it one of LO's release notes. It sounded like a lot of work to
fix (but I can't really tell).
