Alfresco web site

I can't access Alfresco this evening. Perhaps it is down? When
using the link in my browser, I get the message "Connecting" in the tab
and "waiting for alfresco.libreoffice.org ..." The same thing happens
when I access our wiki and click Afresco Explorer.

It's still down this (Australian) morning, but now there is a 503
error message being displayed.

I don't know what the problem is, but this does reinforce my opinion
that continuing to keep a copy of published docs on the wiki is a very
good thing to do. At least the users can get to the docs, even if we
can't access our drafts.

Hi,

My apologies for getting to this so late. I've been really busy this
week, and no-one thought to drop me a mail off-list.

I'm onto troubleshooting the problem now. I'll write back in an hour or two.

Hi,

The problem is resolved, and Alfresco is back up again.

Next time, maybe someone could buzz me off-list in case I'm too busy
to be checking the ML every few hours?

Even if busy, I can always have the problem worked on 24/7 by my
hosting technical support (http://rimuhosting.com), who are the best
and most-responsive hosting company I've ever found.

I'm going to put Alfresco by itself on a dedicated VPS. I'll write
back with info about that in a couple of hours.

Does email to the address below go directly to you? --Jean

Hi Jean,

Does email to the address below go directly to you? --Jean

lists@traduction.biz does go direct to me but might not get checked so
often if I'm running to meet a deadline, so direct contact is best
sent to commerce@traduction.biz, which is a mailbox that is
systematically checked even when I'm busy with client work.

Hi,

Alfresco is back up and running. It is now on an independent VPS,
which will be better from the maintenance and development viewpoint.
I'll be posting back more about this.

Hi
Congrats, nicely done
