Calc Functions Wiki - CONVERT function

Hi All,

Over the last few days I have spent some time updating the description of Calc's CONVERT function on the Wiki (https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Documentation/Calc_Functions/CONVERT). I had no idea that the function was so wide-ranging and powerful!

There is much information now available on the referenced wiki page and it would be great if somebody else could give it a quick review and advise if they spot any problems or have any suggestions. Can anybody spare the time?

A note also for Olivier - having extracted the information from the code and from experimentation, I suspect that it might be a good idea to review the corresponding description in the Help (which I think has some gaps).

Regards,

Steve

Hi Steve!

I read the CONVERT wiki page and I believe it is very well written and
complete.

I do not have knowledge about all the units of measurement covered by the
CONVERT function, but of all the ones I know, everything seems correct to
me.

I also read the current page in the Help
https://help.libreoffice.org/latest/en-US/text/scalc/01/04060116.html?DbPAR=CALC#bm_id3148446

I think the help page can be improved. The main gaps are (i) the unit
symbols in the help page do not have names (as in the wiki) and (ii) the
examples in the wiki are more varied and could be added to the Help page.

Maybe you could open an enhancement request at Bugzilla to suggest the
contents from the wiki be incorporated in the Help page. I would volunteer
to do that.

Regards,
Rafael

Hi Rafael,

Thank you for your assistance.

I have raised Bug 141929 <https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=141929> to cover it.

Regards,

Steve
