This chapter is now in the WiP folder for Getting Started Guide, ready
for you to accept or reject my changes and suggestions. Much of what
I've done is to make the formatting and wording of the chapter more
compatible with the rest of the book.
Other reviewers should wait until Peter has a chance to go through
this chapter, before doing a second review.
