Hello everyone!

I read the new version of Chapter 2 (Producing LO Guides) prepared by Peter
for the Contributor's Guide. I did not make any changes to the document,
but instead added a few comments with suggestions.

The commented version is in the Work in Progress folder and is named

In my honest opinion, I think the proposed changes in the structure and the
new contents added to the chapter are a step in the right direction. From
the standpoint of a new contributor, I think that this new version is more
straightforward and addresses the main questions and mistakes that
newcomers make.

I really liked that the discussion between "updating" and "reviewing" a
chapter was brought to the beginning of Chapter 2.

As for the proposed change in the versioning system (using sequential
numbers instead of dates), I tend to agree with this new approach. We
actually do not use the date values and I think that sequential numbers
will look clearer and will be enough for our internal control.

Best regards,
Rafael Lima

Sorry Dave

Error on my part.

I shall delete the older one, but will retain a copy on my Mac mini.
I will update the spreadsheet.

Do you propose to:
 * Update the guide status sheet?
 * Leave two versions of Chapter 2 in the WIP folder?

An seriously updated version of Chapter 02 Producing LO Guides is now
in the Work In Progress folder for Documentation Team Info ready for review
and comment.

The filename is 2-ProducingLOGuides-PS-20201030.odt.

This chapter has been updated using the LO Template version 7.0 and has
been written in the user guide style. This will help any contributor to
write or update a chapter as they have a sample of what a user guide
chapter should look like. The previous version, in my opinion, was very
difficult to follow, definitely not clear on how to produce chapters for a
user guide and not a good sample to follow.

Some people may disagree with my efforts, but something needs to done
and improve the standard of contributors’ information.

If there is an agreement on the style used in this update, then I am
willing to tackle the remaining chapters.
