Definitely agree about the date and using ISO 8601 as the standard. We are an international team
and we all have different ways of writing the date. Using YYYYMMDD (for example 20201019) as the
date format is the best way forward in my opinion.
I will look at the naming conventions and make corrections. I presume that it is available in the
Contributors’ Resources on LO NextCloud.

Thanks for the offer, but I was close to finishing the write up over a

thrown in the idea of using the NextCloud versioning facility. I expect
to have Chapter 3 of the Contributor Guide book and wiki done in the
next day or two.
However I did want to speak with you about using a standard date format
for both the file names and the workflow status. sheets. I don't know
about other contributors, but Jean and I both have a preference for the
ISO 8601 (YYYYMMDD) date format. That could be with or without dot, dash
or slash separators, where 20201019 would be the same as 2020-10-19.
However it would be helpful if you could revise the "Naming conventions
for LibreOffice user guides" section in Chapter 2 of the Contributors Guide.

Other than Peter Schofield nobody else has expressed any thoughts or
opinions as whether or not we should adopt the NextCloud versioning
system, or should we continue with the proposed folder structure and
file naming format, so I propose a poll:
Go ahead with the simplified folder structure and file naming format,
Adopt the NextCloud versioning system.
I propose closing the vote at 17:00 UTC on Friday 16th. October 2020.
The vote is now closed and 9 people voted:
Option 1 = 9 votes
Option 2 = 0 votes
I will try and get the relevant parts of the Contributors Guide books
and wiki pages updated as soon as possible.
