Yes, thank you. I was using the menu rather than the toolbar. I think
it did not work for me, because I was trying to paste (Ctrl+V) the
comment into dialog instead of typing it in.
Note to self: Don't be lazy :).

There is an option to insert a comment into a cell in LOOL Calc. Maybe I
am missing something, but is there any way to make an inserted comment
visible. I am looking at this as an idea for our status spreadsheets.
