The german version of the base guide 6.4 is not yet available but I
have an idea.
Why we have to translate from german?
We have a 6.2 guide(or maybe we will have). Why can't we just update
it to match the 6.4 version.

I have moved the tracking spreadsheet inside the ^.2 folder as it
tracks only the 6.2 version.

I have edited th paragraph(registering the database) and I
have uploaded the rest of the chapters of the base handbook.
Now you can review them and someone can have a second review
of chapter 0-2

I have accepted most of your edits. As for your
comment on weather or not to register the database, I
am surprised at it too. The german versions say that
one should register a database upto version 6.0 but
in version 6.2 they say not to register the database.
Should I change it in the English Version?
Robert and I have different views on this particular
point. I was the person who wrote the version of
Getting Started with Base chapter for OpenOffice.org
2.0 in 2005 or 2006. That was when HSQLDB was added to
Base. For several years I continued to work on the
Base Guide for several years with little support from
others. I dropped out for a while but have returned to
the documentation team. I respect Robert and his
obvious knowledge of databases because knows what he
is doing. I have been registering all of my databases
when they are created for all of this time. I have
also developed my personal databases which I have
accessed from other components of first OpenOffice.org
and then LIbreOffice. So, I have found already having
the database registered is a convenience.
Should this paragraph be changed to recommend that
databases should be registered when created in the
English version? Yes. One other possibility: "It is
recommended that all databases should be registered
when created, but the final choice belongs to the reader."

I have uploaded my review for chapter 2 to the

downloaded chapter 3
