Hi
Ahh, it doesn't quite work like that.
The original FAQ was written in French and is gradually being translated
into English.
So, a good entry-level task might be to proof-read some of the existing
ones and make corrections as you go. We don't have a tracking system for
working on the wiki, afaik, so you might want to either create one or just
keep a simple note for yourself somewhere.
An even better task might be to continue with the translations, or to use
the French original as inspiration

https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Faq
It looks like Sophie, Alex et al have got as far as the first section in
Impress = "Editing". They might be actively working on the remaining parts
of that so it's probably best to leave that section to them and start on
the 2nd section "Opening / Importing / Saving" or skip all the way ahead
and work on Draw. It'd probably be better to help finish of Impress to
minimise the number of half-completed things but it's up to you to decide
what you prefer doing.
Note that clicking on the titles takes you to a numbered page rather than
an easy to read one that people might be able to figure out and guess. The
advantage is that it's simpler to translate and keep track of in all the
different languages (or will be when other languages do have enough people
to expand into doing the Faq on the wiki).
Hopefully those pages should be fairly easy to create, or already be
ready.
Another task i've been meaning to do for ages is to consolidate some
duplicated pages. The main one that worries me at the moment is the "User
Profile" pages. There's one getting increasingly out-dated at;
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Documentation/UserProfile
and one that gets updated quite a bit
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile
but which might possibly be missing stuff that is in the old one or the old
one might have found a better way of saying some of it.
Renaming the User Profile is the fastest way to fix a wide variety of weird
problems. It get LibreOffice "back to factory defaults". Sadly there are
still people out in the world who think that reinstalling does that and
then get baffled when those weird problem still keep happening. It's good
to be able to point them to a single page and magically fix almost anything
in one easy go.
So it'd be really good to have both pages combined into one, or to be
almost completely confident that losing the old one wouldn't lose anything
useful.
There are probably other "Easy Hacks" listed on one of the pages about
contributing to the Documentation Team. Personally i think it would be
really great to have people on the team who are good at wiki-editing and
who can maybe help others here to learn how to get started and maybe help
them if they get stuck.
Sorry this is sooo long! It is all just my own opinion and you are free to
go your own way and do your own thing. Most people just get straight into
working on the Published Guides asap but it'd be good to have some
variety!
Welcome in!
Good luck and regards from
Tom
