Hi
Sorry you have had no replies!! It might be better to find the User List
for whichever language you are most comfortable with and then ask again
there. I'm still hoping someone might be able to help with this but it is
best not to wait.

There is documentation at
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Documentation/Publications
and a fairly recently completed Faq wiki at
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Faq/Calc
(at least i think it's been done but haven't had time to skim through it
yet). Errr, the Calc/Excel section and Writer appear to have been done.
The Base section was finished years ago but i'm just not certain about the
rest. Good work Sophie and Alan C and anyone else involved! The French
Faq (the original) is at
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/FR/FAQ

Generally i find that documents created in MS Office or saved using their
formats eventually need to be started afresh in LibreOffice.

Documents tend to be slightly better if they only ever used the older MS
Formats but even so there is often tons of hidden coding buried in the
document and that causes problems. With Word-Writer it's usually easier
because you can use "paste special" to paste the contents in as "unformatted
text" and then just apply styles. With Excel-Calc it can be a lot more
trouble although you could try usign Excel to "export to Csv" and then
import that ".csv" into Calc. Again you might need to apply a lot of
formatting and also to adjust column width.

Is there any chance of uploading the file itself to see if anyone can come
up with better answers for this particular spreadsheet?
Apols and regards from
