Importing Microsoft Excel Spreadsheets into Libre Office

I am new to Libre Office (old to Open Office) and I cannot seem to find any
information as to how to import a Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet into Libre
Office. Microsoft doesn't give me a "save as" option and I cannot figure
out how to do it from the Libre Office side.
I have downloaded the Documentation (thank you so very much!!!) and did not
find anything related to this kind of transfer. I think that most people
who use Libre Office do so because they prefer it to Microsoft Office (I
sure do) but the reality is that many people I deal with are sending me
Microsoft type documents that I have to save into Libre Office formats. What
I used to do in Open Office no longer works.
Can you help/direct me to where I can find this information?
Thank You
Sincerely,

Suzanne
A very happy user

From within LibreOffice, File > Open and select the Excel file in the
dialog that opens. Or, in Windows Explorer or similar, right-click on
the Excel file and choose Open With > LibreOffice (or similar; sorry,
I don't have a Windows machine here to check the exact wording). If
you want to always open Excel files in LibreOffice, you may wish to
"associate" those files with LO so they open in LO when you
double-click on them.

Once you have the Excel file open in LO, you can save it in ODS
(OpenDocument Spreadsheet) format if you wish, or you can keep it in
Excel format.

User questions are best directed to the users support list,
users@global.libreoffice.org. The list you have written to is for
people working on producing documentation for LibreOffice. Thank you
for your thanks to us, and for pointing out that we need to make a
small change in our introductory chapters.
