Because we will be replacing the Base chapter in GS 4.0 with a very
different, shorter one for GS 4.2, I have split the existing chapter
into two documents and published them as a tutorial and a how-to. You

They probably need some (perhaps a lot) more work, so you are
encouraged to review them.
(I believe Dan Lewis intends to edit the full chapter for use as the
first chapter of the Base Guide.)
I am working on edits to Dan's draft of the new Base chapter for GS
and hope to have that ready soon for someone to update to v4.2 as
needed.
