LO Calc and the ImageMap Editor

Has anybody got a solution for this problem.

I am editing and rewriting Chapter 5 of the Calc Guide 4.1 to give it the
same look and feel as the first four chapters. However, I come across a
problem with creating image maps.

I have followed the instructions given in Calc help and created a hotspot on
a graphic. Click the apply button so that the hotspot will work. Yet when I
click on the hotspot in a Calc spreadsheet, the hotspot does not open my
browser as it is supposed to do. I have tried this in Ubuntu and Mac OS.

However, I have created the same hotspot in Impress, using the same graphic
and web address and it works perfectly. This to me indicates a problem with
Calc and image mapping. Now you can see why I need a little help.

Hi Peter
I've just given this a go and it works fine using LO4.1.3.2 on WinXP and it launches Firefox 25.1.
It also works ok with an internal URL (C:\Documents and Settings\...)
Being pedantic, you say 'click the hotspot...', this is of course, Ctrl_click the hotspot.

Thank you John

The text about the ImageMap Editor has now been changed to include the
Ctrl+click action to open a hotspot in Calc. I should have thought of trying
that one, but sometimes the old grey cells get a bit lost.

We can close this discussion now.
