[libreoffice-marketing] Re: [libreoffice-design] Re: Making use cases videos

Hi everyone. Thanks for the feedback and good information. The thread Marc
linked was very interesting and helpful [1].

I add documentation team to the list, and as some mails didn't go to design
list, I sume up here what's going on:

- We are working on a instructional and promotional video series of
LibreOffice. The proposal is to show recent and coming features as well as
teaching good use habits of the tools and interface.
- Gnome team did cool promo videos of Gnome3 wich are a style reference. [2]
- This topic has been discussed many times. See link [1] below.
- There are already spoken tutorials on [3] wich may be a good reference.
- There is an official YouTube channel [4]. There is a discussion about
what to do with it in [1].
- The contents of the tutorials may be coordinated with the documentation,
being them a part of it.

My personal interest is in videos for intermediate users, not beginners,
but that audience may not be the highest priority.

I agree, Jean. My initial motivation was to promote LibreOffice and show
how it is not only an alternative, but the standard office suite. We need
to stablish the target of this videos. In my opinion, we should focus on
attracting new users as well as solidify the intermediate ones.

Allright, I created a page for this project, nested in a DF wiki page [5].
I never worked in a wiki, please don't hesitate to tell me how it works and
if I'm doing wrong.

I will try to keep working these months, but until July I won't be
available for production, wich in my case is building/recording the videos.
Please help me in the pre-production.

Thanks,
Pablo.
