translating the GS Guide <bookmark_value>

Hi :slight_smile:

Could translation teams use ODFAuthors to work on translating the Guides into the various different languages?

Donald had a question about the <bookmark_value> but i am not sure if he is talking about The Guides or about the in-built help.  Also i am not sure if Donald has an ODFAuthors account but if not then please could someone give him one so he can see the folders and how they are being used?

The wiki introduction to using ODFAuthors has always scared me a bit!

probably because it is sooo long.  Can it be broken down into more manageable chunks, as we are starting to do with the Published page?  Does anyone understand it well enough to edit it?

Just on this, <bookmark_value> is the tag in the help files that
indicate a string directed to the index of the help browser of the
built-in help.

And by the way, if needed, I've a document explaining the tags and what
and how that should be localized. I can send the address to whom is

My question about <bookmark_value> relates to the in-built help.
I don't have an account in ODFAuthors. Whether I need one depends on the answer to the question "Could translation teams use ODFAuthors...", to which I would add "Should they?"

Yes, I would like to receive the address of your document. Not yet sure whether I will start localising the help but I want to have a better idea of the work involved.

I doubt i will be able to get enough time to use it but i am curious about how complex it really is.  Perhaps one of us "gets lucky" and spots some way of making it easier to understand.
