Hi
I am not sure that this is the right group to ask but i am not sure
what the right mailing-list is.  I would ask the Board-of-Directors
discussion list.

As an aside there is already at least one course that has been rolled out in a few countries so it might be possible to link in with them to reduce your costs a bit.  Of course there are then translation and other issues.  Most people don't know about the course and although the BoD keep being told about it they still don't seem to know about it.

Tom,
I got the impression from reading this that permission was being sought to use the LO logo, perhaps on the certificate he wishes to issue, at the end of the course.

Hi
+1
Yes, i think so too.  I am sure there is a wiki-page describing how and when the logo and stuff can be applied but i can't remember.  Perhaps marketing would know?

Hi Tom
Seems to be here:
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Marketing/Branding
Is it free to use or does authority need to be given for outside use? Who gives it if it does need an ok?
As far as I can make out reading through, no permission is required, but I'm in no position to make that definitive decision.
John

Hi
I think this link
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Logo_Policy
is the one that gives information about who can use which logos and when.

I still think it's probably best to contact the BoD or perhaps the marketing team to see what they say about it.

Thanks Tom.
There's a link in that page to the legal folks, legal@documentfoundation.org <mailto:legal@documentfoundation.org> for anyone to ask about the use of logos and trademarks. If Siyabonga contacts them they ought to be able to answer all his questions.
Hope he's stayed on the list to read this.
John
