Hey ... no problem ... REALLY ... Its just not something I will care to fix
if it won't be used anywhere, thats all.

I don't have online "feelings" ... so they don't get hurt :))))

I don't remember who is dealing with that page, or what happened (or
not) with the doc you wrote. I have a vague (and possibly incorrect)
memory that this was on David Nelson's to-do list. I've been popping
in and out of the project, so I haven't kept up as well as I sometimes
do. But I don't think your doc is being deliberately hidden, though it
may well have been mislaid.

And I have no idea who edited it badly. Perhaps that is why it's still
hidden, awaiting someone to clean it up.

Ok good to know, just to clarify, the document that is in Alfresco (and
wich needs some polishing again) was not used in that page?

Well ... at least it is there in Alfresco (although it was awfully edited
with some parts of some other document added)

If it pleases the team I would be willing to give it another reshaping,
I won't if it will be kept a secret as it is currently :)

No problem ... I wrote those instructions for the wiki and for myself,
I have little time to spare, so if it will not be used anywhere, I
to spend my time in other endeavors.

I'll await your input

PS: @Peter, good to see you did it, but if we were to debug the problem
should have some more info ... but forget that for now and on to your

Hello Rogerio

I installed Ubuntu 11.10 as a second OS on my toshiba laptop. The
Ubuntu installation includes LibreOffice, but not the Base program. So,
re-installed LibreOffice from the Ubuntu Software Center to make sure
was installed. However, the Galaxy set was not installed and only the
set was available for icons.

I downloaded the Linux Debian version from the LibreOffice website and
went to for the
installation instructions. Everything went OK using Terminal until I
reached Step 4. When I ran the dpkg command again for
a conflict error message appeared. I cannot remember the message and the
dpkg command completed. I then checked LibreOffice and found that the
Galaxy set had not installed. So I used Synaptic to install the Galaxy
without any problems.

@ Peter and Gabriel:

I wrote the instructions for Linux install a while back ... so please:

1) Where exactly did you follow instructions

2) what is exactly the error you see

Hello Jean

Just tried installing LO into Ubuntu 11.10 following the instructions
the LO website - download the DEB package from LO website, unarchive
use Terminal. The Galaxy set does not install and using Terminal
produces a
conflict error. Solution was to use Synaptic and install the Galaxy
set. I
definitely now have Galaxy set as default.

not sure if I have it correctly but:

In Ubuntu 11.10 you have to install the additional
packages if you use the default install of Libreoffice.

Choices for XXX are hicontrast, human, crystal, oxygen, tango and

not see the options for the various icon sets in the Options dialog

Martin, I am sure you are right. <looks around /> Aha! They are in
Synaptic package manager. Why didn't I think of that? (Probably
because I'm using a Mac these days. How quickly I forget Ubuntu

So that is another way for Gabriel and others to get the Galaxy icon
set. I still think it's best to install LO from the LO website, to
avoid any other differences that may exist in the distro versions of
