Documentation in spanish

Hello everybody!

I want to translate and organize documentation in english to spanish.
How can I do that? Is this the right place?

Thanks
Sylvia

Hi Sylvia,

I want to translate and organize documentation in english to spanish.
How can I do that?  Is this the right place?

Sure, this is one of the right places. We'll be pleased to give you
whatever help I can. We already have some Spanish speakers lurking on
this list, who have been testing our Alfresco platform to see whether
it fits their needs. So you'll do well to liaise with them.

Also, the other best place to make yourself known is the localization
mailing list. There, you are going to find other people involved in
translating/creating documentation in their own particular language.

For that, you can get info here:

http://www.libreoffice.org/get-involved/localizers/

If you want an account on our Alfresco platform, I can set you up with
that. And feel free to ask any questions you like here. But definitely
raise your voice on the localization list, too.

Yes, I'll be grateful if you set me up an Alfresco account.

Thanks!
Sylvia

Adding a user to the (admins) desired group, but I can wait to David or
somebody. (I hope Sylvia can too)

Hi
Thanks :)  I gave Sylvia a wrong user-name first time but then created a new one with a proper user-name afterwards so it's all ok now.  Except that someone needs to delete the user-name that is an email address :(  Sorry David!

You and Juan both have admin rights now.

Hi Tom,

WoooHooo, i think i did manage it!

Great job, thanks for that.

Hi,

By the way, *if* you want any advice or help about using Alfresco,
please just give a heads-up. I'll be updating the contributor
documentation ASAP (within the next week) to make it easier for people
to work.

Sorry about the current inconvenience.

Hi
It is all good at the moment imo.  I usually have trouble reading documentation anyway.  Usually the only way i can really learn a thing is to play around with it and see what my options are.  Then i worry about whether i really can try the options without breaking something.  I'm getting somewhere with Alfresco and it seems quite painless :).

Hi Tom,

I'm getting somewhere with Alfresco and it seems quite painless :).

I'm working on a couple more improvements, and hope to have good news
to give about that fairly soon. But I must admit that, personally, I
find Alfresco Share to be a pretty good interface, and I think the
now-working document thumbnailing and online preview feature is pretty
cool.

Hi
WoooHooo, i think i did manage it! Juan, are you an admin now?

Yes I am. Thank you

Hi Juan,

Yes I am. Thank you

Sorry about the oversight. Just give me a nudge if I can be of
help in any way.

Hi
I like it.  Once you try exploring it makes sense quite quickly.  I thought i had looked in User and Groups before and just found them empty but Juan gave me confidence to have another look and try a few things out.  The first thing i tried got the result i wanted

Aesthetically it's very pleasing and i think it's nice to work in attractive surroundings.
