I can add that to the list of updates for V3.4.x on our wiki page, in
the hope that whoever is doing that chapter can fix that while they're
doing the other updates. I'm fairly sure it's mentioned in another
chapter, but would certainly be good to put into Ch6 as well.

I want to go through the other recent bugs you've passed on to the
list and add them to the wiki page too.

We have another documentation-related bug to deal with. Volunteers
would be most welcome. If none step forward, I'll work on this myself
when I get to it, near the bottom of my to-do list.

Subject: [Bug 40702] New: Writer Guide incomplete concerning 'Format Paintbrush'

Summary: Writer Guide incomplete concerning 'Format Paintbrush'
          Product: LibreOffice
          Version: LibO 3.4.3 release
         Platform: Other
       OS/Version: All
           Status: NEW
         Severity: minor
         Priority: medium
        Component: Documentation

During my research for "Bug 40700 - EDITING Writer Format Paintbrush formats
more than selection" I found out that "Writer Guide - Word Processing with
LibreOffice 3.3" can be improved in "Chapter 6 Introduction to Styles -
Applying character styles".

It seems that a hint is missing how to transfer only character style without
paragraph style: you have to press "Control" when you select the characters to
what the style should be transferred using 'Format Paintbrush' (See Writer Help
under heading "Copying Formatting With the Format Paintbrush").

I am not sure whether "Control" is valid for all OS.
