Hi Michael,

I am using Ubuntu 19.04.
Launched LibreOffice in superuser, it starts normally. Opening documents
fails, so I guess I made a mistake somewhere. I'll try to resolve it.

Thanks,
Adrien

Hi Adrien, What OS are you using? This sounds like it's a permissions
problem for the directory where the original configuration files get
written, or some configuration isn't present and LO isn't using a default
or creating it.

If you're on linux or mac, you might try running as a superuser/admin and
see if you get different results.

I've never tried to compile LO myself, so these are wild guesses, not
advice. Hopefully someone with experience will have better comments.

Hi Michael,

I don't have exactly the same error with an existing document: the GUI of
LibreOffice starts, the document can't be open but the GUI does not crash,
it stays displayed on the screen.

Do you get the same error when opening an existing document? (of each
type: Calc, Writer, Impress, Draw)

That may help identify a bit more.

Hello everybody,

I successfully compiled my modified version of LO but it crashes at
startup. The GUI starts launching but it closes after about 3 seconds and
the following message appear:

$ instdir/program/soffice
Application Error

By looking in the error journal, I can see this:

I think this is the problem but I don't know which value it is talking
about.

Does someone have an idea?

Thanks,
Adrien Ollier
